Pete the Cat

The Kindergarteners read and sang Pete the Cat this week. If you have not read it, I highly recommend  it, along with the downloadable song. It is so much fun! It's a song that will stick with you - in a good way!

I love how these turned out for the 1st graders! First they painted them - they tried to incorporate line and pattern. Once the were dry, we went over them with black marker to define the shapes and really make them pop!

Welcome to our new art room blog 2011! What an exciting  year we have ahead of us. Our 5th grade team has won an iPad grant. Each 5th grade student has their very own iPad. I can't wait to integrate them into the art room.
